This delightful hour-long film reunites the legendary Screenwriter Andrew Davies with Script Editor Susie Conklin as they reminisce about the making of the beloved 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Recorded in the beautiful and intimate surroundings of Jane Austen’s House, the film also includes leading cast-members Crispin Bonham-Carter and Susannah Harker who join the live audience and share their happy memories of the production. It is chaired by Justin Smith, Professor of Cinema and Television History at De Montfort University.

This talk was delivered in the Drawing Room at Jane Austen’s House in front of a small live audience but it was filmed especially for you, our online audience. It will be freely available to watch on our YouTube channel from 9pm (British Summertime) on 24 September – exactly 30 years after the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice first aired!
