Pride & PrejudiceĀ is one of the world’s most popular and beloved novels. First published on 28 January 1813, over 200 years ago, it continues to delight readers around the world, and to inspire countless adaptations, translations and spin-offs.

Our annual celebrations for Pride & Prejudice Day bring a welcome cheer to the depths of January, and give us all a welcome opportunity to celebrate our favourite lines, moments and characters!

This year we will be celebrating online with Jane Austen fans across the world.

Virtual Book Club: Pride & Prejudice (1pm GMT) is a lively lunch-break book club, discussing all thingsĀ Pride & Prejudice! Weā€™ll get the ball rolling with questions, ideas and provocations, and then itā€™s over to you ā€“ as a group weā€™ll share thoughts, theories, favourites and best-bits.

The Bennet Sisters’ Guide to Jane Austen’s House (4.30pm GMT) is a fun, family-friendly introduction to Jane Austenā€™s House, under the expert guidance of the five Bennet girls – Jane, Lizzy, Mary, Kitty and Lydia… What sort of tour guides will they be?!

Virtual ‘Pride & Prejudice’ Tour (7pm GMT) is a very special virtual guided tour of Jane Austenā€™s House, using the House itself and objects from the collection to reveal the themes, characters and events of Jane Austenā€™s beloved novel.

We’ll be counting down the days with more posts, news, competitions and ways to join in – so watch this space for more P&P Day news in the run up to the big day!
