Work with us to share Jane's legacy.

Jane Austen’s House, the home of the author Jane Austen from 1809–1817 and the place where she wrote and revised all her major works. As well as being a tourist attraction, the Museum is an authority on Jane Austen and is home to the largest collection of Austen family artefacts in the world. An independent charitable organisation, the Museum is governed by a board of Trustees and is run by a team of staff and volunteers.

Museum Online Learning Resources Consultant

Jane Austen’s House is looking to recruit a Museum Online Learning Resources Consultant to deliver an exciting and innovative new online learning offer, focused on Jane Austen’s teenaged writings and engaging directly with young people. This 12 week, grant-funded project will involve working closely with the Director, Collections & Interpretation Manager and the museum’s academic and learning trustee, Professor Kathryn Sutherland to undertake the production and promotion of a suite of online learning resources to inspire a teenage audience to study Jane Austen’s world, read her books and develop their own creative writing voices.
