Austen Wednesdays

Welcome to Austen Wednesdays - a new digital programme of talks and in conversation events from Jane Austen's House! Our next Austen Wednesdays event will air on 25th November - read on for more details!

Wednesday 25 November
8:00pm — 9:00am

We’re very excited to share this new series with you! Austen Wednesday events are monthly and premiere on our YouTube channel. New events will be announced on our social media channels and listed here each month so watch this space and subscribe to our YouTube channel to ensure you don’t miss out! The events are free but we welcome donations to help us preserve Jane Austen’s home and continue to share her legacy.

This month we are delighted to welcome food historian, journalist and author Julienne Gehrer in conversation with our Director, Lizzie Dunford.

Julienne is the author of Dining with Jane Austen and the forthcoming Martha Lloyd’s Household Book: The Original Manuscript from Jane Austen’s Kitchen.  Julienne has partnered with chefs on ‘A Jane Austen Literary Dinner’ and a ‘Cheese Tour of Jane Austen’s England.’

Recorded earlier this month and airing exclusively for Austen Wednesdays on Wednesday 25th November at 8pm (GMT).
