Wellness evening

Join us in a relaxed online space for an evening of books, music, writing and crafting. Bring your tea, your knitting, your favourite poems... Join us from home as we escape the stresses and strains of the modern world for an hour or two.

Welcome to our Wellness Evening. This is a gentle, calming online space in which to relax and escape the stresses and worries of the modern world.

Choose from four breakout rooms (or hop between them!):

Reading – a relaxed book club of sorts. Bring your favourite books, passages, quotes – from Jane Austen or anything else! We will share our favourites, swap ideas, and indulge in some readings.

Writing – join our resident poet for a calming writing session. Chat about your writing, bring a notebook and respond to our writing prompts, and enjoy a quiet, supportive space in which to share your work and listen to others’.

Crafting – bring your knitting, sewing, embroidery (or whatever you like!) and enjoy a gentle, relaxed online working room. We’d love to see your work, share tips and ideas, and chat! (Jane Austen will be mentioned, but politics will not!)

Music – a virtual salon. Drop in to enjoy a recital of the piano music that Jane Austen knew and loved, learn about Jane Austen the musician, and chat to our resident pianist.

This event will be free to allow as many people as possible to participate. Drop in and see if you like it. Come and go as you please. Get on with your craft and meet like-minded people. We hope to see you there!
