Virtual ‘Emma’ Tour

Join us for a unique virtual guided tour of Jane Austen’s House. Following in Jane’s footsteps, we’ll explore the rooms where Emma was written and learn about her inspirations for the novel.

We’ll also take a close look at one of our first editions of Emma, hear the story of the novel’s publication and Jane Austen’s dedication to the Prince Regent, and examine her correspondence with the Royal librarian.

This light-hearted and enjoyable virtual tour shines a light on objects and stories that relate to Jane Austen’s classic novel; it offers the opportunity to examine  and enjoy Emma, and to experience Jane Austen’s House and collection in a new way.

With plenty of time to ask questions, this is a unique opportunity to to indulge our love of the well-meaning but misguided heroine of whom Jane Austen famously declared ‘no one but myself will much like’.
