Join us for a very special guided tour of Jane Austen’s House, led by an inspiring and knowledgeable guide.Â
As part of a small group, you will enjoy an early morning tour of the House before it is open to the public. This unique tour will focus on and celebrate Jane Austen’s first published novel, Sense and Sensibility.
Following in Jane’s footsteps, you’ll discover the rooms where Sense and Sensibility was revised and edited, soon after she moved to Chawton in 1809. Moving from room to room, you’ll discover how the House itself can help us understand the novel better, and objects in the collection that help the story come to life.
With plenty of opportunities to chat and ask questions along the way, this unique tour will transport you back in time, offering the opportunity to enjoy, examine and discuss Sense and Sensibility, and to experience Jane Austen’s House in a new way.
