Virtual Tour Live: Mother’s Day Special

Celebrate Mother's Day with us! This exclusive online event will celebrate mothers in Jane Austen’s life and works, and explore the House in which she spent the last eight years of her life.

Sunday 14 March
3:00pm — 4:00pm

A perfect Mother’s Day treat, this exclusive online event will celebrate mothers in Jane Austen’s life and works, and explore the House in which Jane Austen spent the last eight years of her life.

The event will be hosted by Director Lizzie Dunford and Collections and Interpretation Manager Sophie Reynolds. Together, you will enjoy a guided walk through of our beautiful new virtual tour (where it is always summer!), with lots of opportunities to chat and to ask questions.

Lizzie and Sophie will also discuss some of the best (and worst!) mothers in Jane Austen’s beloved novels, and Jane Austen’s own mother, Cassandra Leigh – an inspirational woman in her own right!
