!!SOLD OUT!!
This Pride and Prejudice Day, join Jane Austen’s House Director, Lizzie Dunford, for a fascinating talk on the making of Pride and Prejudice – the world’s most beloved novel.
From Jane Austen’s first writings at Steventon through to publication, reception, illustrations, adaptations and notable editions, this will be a whistle-stop tour through the book’s history, illustrated by objects from our collection.
Dive into little-known stories and discover personal editions, up close.
This talk will take place in Jane Austen’s House itself, in our the Making of Pride and Prejudice exhibition. Capacity is limited to make for the best possible experience – with lots of opportunities to ask questions and to view objects close up.
We’ll finish this special event with drinks in the Historic Kitchen, and the chance to toast our favourite authoress!
