In this exclusive session you will examine a range of objects from the museum collection, under the guidance of our Collections team.
This special event will examine objects from the museum collection relating to music and artworks. Inspired by Elinor and Marianne’s artistic interests in Sense and Sensibility, we’ll be looking at objects including a book of manuscript music in Jane Austen’s own hand, Austen family artworks, illustrations for Jane Austen’s novels and early illustrated editions.
This event will be led by an expert on our collection who will guide you through the objects’ histories, their significance and how we care for them.
The group will be kept small, so there will be plenty of opportunities to see objects up close, ask questions and discuss as we go along.
