Join us for a deep dive into three short texts from Jane Austen’s own writings and those of her family.
Inspired by our popular Online Book Club, this event will take two passages from Jane Austenās writings and one by her sister Cassandra reflecting on Jane’s life, and explore them in greater depth. As a group we will do a close reading of each text, sharing ideas, interpretations and reactions. Whether you are an Austen afficionado or new to her writings, this is a safe, welcoming space in which to share our thoughts, ideas and love of literature!
Read the extracts here. You’ll get the most out of this session by reading them in advance, although if that’s not possible don’t worry!
