2026 will be a year full of fascinating exhibitions, joyful festivals, and lots of reading and books! Come and be a part of the story here at Jane Austen's HouseOpening times
1st – 7th January: Closed
8th January – 15th February: Open Thursday to Sunday, closed Monday to Wednesday
16th – 22nd February: Open 7 days for half term
23rd February – 22nd March: Open Saturdays and Sundays ONLY
Over this period we will be carrying out extensive restoration and conservation work in the House. We will be closed Monday to Friday to allow this to take place. There may be some changes to visitor routes, and what is on display during this time. We will not be selling advance tickets for this period. If you would like to reserve tickets for these weekends, please email enquiries@janeaustens.house.
23rd March – 29th March: Open Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday
30th March – 12th April: Open 7 days for Easter Holidays
13th April – 24th May: Open Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday. Also open on Monday 4th May for Spring Bank Holiday.
25th May – 4th October: Open 7 days a week
Exceptions: Mondays 8th June, 13th July, 10th August and 14th September, when we will be closed for conservation and care of collections.
5th October – 25th October: Open Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday
26th October – 1st November: Open 7 days for half term
2nd November – 8th November: Open Saturday and Sunday, closed Monday to Friday
9th November – 13th December: Open Thursday to Friday, closed Monday to Wednesday
14th – 20th December: Open 7 days
21st – 27th December: House Closed all week.
28th December – 3rd Jan: Open Monday to Wednesday, closed Thursday to Sunday.

- Young Person (17 – 26): £11.00
- Disabled Person (Carer free): £11.00
- Children (6-16, under 6s free): £7.25
- Families (1 adult and up to 3 children): £26.00
- Families (2 adults and up to 3 children): £40.00
