Our annual celebrations for Pride and Prejudice Day bring a welcome cheer to the depths of January, and give us all a welcome opportunity to celebrate our favourite lines, moments and characters!

Events

Why not visit Jane Austen’s House in Chawton on P&P Day, and see the rooms where Jane revised the novel for publication and read aloud from her first printed copy. Book tickets!

We’re looking forward to our marathon screening of the classic BBC miniseries! Starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, Andrew Davies’ sumptuous TV miniseries first aired in 1995 to huge acclaim, and is still a favourite Austen adaptation for all ages. We’ll be showing all six episodes back to back in one epic, full-day screening! Drop in for as long as you like, or stay all day!

In the evening we’re running a candlelit tour of the House. Join us after dark for a special version of our popular Pride and Prejudice tour, complete with candlelight and live piano music from Jane Austen’s music books.

If you can’t make it to Chawton, why not join us online for a virtual P&P Tour. This special virtual guided tour of Jane Austenā€™s House will reveal the themes, characters and events of Jane Austenā€™s beloved novel.
