Cake Rave

Eating is a running theme in Jane Austen’s Teenage Writings – characters veer between extreme restraint, and reckless binging. Bertille Mirallie and Anita Pomario play on these two extremes in this physical theatre and dance piece. They try in vain to keep their appetites under control, but, sooner or later, legs and feet will shake, rattle and roll. Intercut with footage from Jane Austen’s House, this is a stormy rave in a teacup.
