Jane Austen's House is the perfect destination for a group visit and we are delighted to cater for groups of varying size and interest.GROUP VISITS TO THE HOUSE
We are delighted to welcome pre-booked groups to Jane Austen’s House. Groups can freely explore the home and garden that Jane knew and loved, uncovering the story of her life and times, and getting up-close to objects from our unparalleled Austen collection, including Jane’s jewellery, letters, first editions of her novels and the little table at which she wrote.

Please note: Tour guides also require tickets for entry. Tickets are automatically annual passes allowing guides to revisit the House multiple times throughout the year. (Annual pass tickets must be pre-booked. A valid annual pass must be provided on return visits. Excludes special event days.)
Tour guides are not permitted to conduct guided tours at Jane Austen’s House. If a party have requested a guided tour, please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a tour with our expert in-house guides.

Please note:
- All visits to the House are self-guided with knowledgeable room stewards on hand to help and answer your questions. If you would like to book a guided tour with one of our in-house expert guides, please contact us.
- Cassandra’s Cup Tea Room, The Greyfriar Pub and The Old Kitchen Tearoom at Chawton House are not connected to Jane Austen’s House and if you wish to visit them as a group you will need to book with them separately.
BESPOKE VIRTUAL TOURS
We also offer bespoke virtual tours for groups. A virtual tour usually lasts one hour and can accommodate up to 50 people. Tours will be led by a member of staff who can answer questions and tailor the tour to suit your interests. Email us for more details.
