GIN AUSTEN: An Evening at Jane Austen’s House
For one night only, join us for a journey into the past… Learn about the food and drink that would have been cooked and consumed by the Austen women, view Martha Lloydâs Household Book up close, enjoy cocktails in the garden and bask in the melodious sound of the harp as it drifts out across the summer evening.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE TOUR
Walking in Jane Austenâs footsteps, youâll discover the rooms where Pride & Prejudice was revised and edited, and where Jane Austen read the novel aloud to a neighbour on the very day she received her first copy. Moving from room to room, youâll see portraits of people Jane knew who may have inspired characters in the novel, and objects that help the story come to life. This tour is naturally followed by tea and biscuits.

EMMA TOUR
Discover the rooms where Emma was written and take a look at our First Edition of Emma up close. Hear the story of the novelâs publication, Jane Austenâs dedication to the Prince Regent, and her correspondence with the Royal librarian. Followed by strawberries and cream (and tea!) on the lawn.

WAKING UP THE HOUSE
In this exclusive, early-morning tour, weâll be unlocking doors, opening shutters and letting sunshine into the darkened rooms. Weâll take a peep into the attic, dust away cobwebs, and check that everything is in order to start the day. Along the way, weâll share secrets and stories of this extraordinary house through the ages. After the tour, youâll enjoy a light breakfast of tea and toast â just as Jane used to do!
